The Tilburg International Club - or TIC for short - is a recently founded club for expatriate singles, couples and families living in Tilburg and the surrounding area. The club provides diverse social and educational activities for their members. There are lecture evenings on, for example, Dutch culture, politics and history, modern and 17th century art, as well as many purely social activities - monthly happy hours or borrels, a New Year's dinner and a family picnic in June. There is also an active book discussion group and day trips. After the initial, necessary procedures have been finalized and you are a bit settled in your new way of life, it would be a good idea to join TIC. They will give you the opportunity to meet other international workers and exchange experiences on being an expat in the Netherlands.
