Local Support

The extensive package of Local Support includes, with exception of the individual whishes of the international worker the following items:

• Start up and organize the house search for the newcomer and prepare the house for moving in
• Pick-up at the airport and guide newcomer to new home
• Check the rental contract and attend to the final inspection of the new home
• Activate utilities as being gas, water, electricity (if not included in service contract of lessor)
• Assist with applications for (cable) TV, telephone and internet
• Assist with registration at home doctor and dentist
• Assist with opening of Dutch bank account
• Accompany newcomer to IND (Immigration service) to pick up provisional residence permit/permanent residence permit
• Assist with application of Dutch health insurance
• Introduce newcomer to accountant for a.o. income tax declaration, child care
• Assist with choice of schools for primary - and secondary education
• Assist with registration at city hall
• Assist with purchase of furniture and/or household goods and white goods
• Advice in process for job search for partner
• After a period of 5 months the international worker has the opportunity to take out a subscription with P & D Care to assist him/her in daily matters.
