Helping me settling in, getting my work permit, legal paperwork and negotiating the appartment rent are among other things the most important topics P&D Care helped me with when I moved to the Netherlands to work for Fabory. I have moved around a lot the last couple of years but I have to say that P&D Care is very prompt, they react quick, have good local knowledge and a large network. The transitioning process was therefore a very smooth one.

Looking back at the past 6 months here in the Netherlands I would like to thank P&D Care for making my transition such a smooth one. From the very beginning when I was still in Japan we had a pleasant cooperation with what they call the pre-arrival care . After my arrival in the Netherlands they helped me arrange everything in such a short time that when my family arrived a month later, we had the most important needs in place. Our eldest was able to go to a great international school nearby where we live and our youngest goes to daycare now. They helped us buy a car and told us where to find Japanese groceries. P&D Care was a vital link for us to adapt and feel at home in a foreign country.

After getting our PHDs in the US, we were both appointed positions at universities in the Netherlands. Tilburg University provided relocation services with P&D Care, which was a blessing. They worked with us on several domains-from getting work permits to finding a place in The Netherlands. In the house hunting domain, they consolidated a list of options and visited many possible housing locations. After our preference was known they did the negotiating and contracting as well. Once we were here, they really put a coordinated effort in helping us with the required health checks, banking, internet, driver's license, home maintenance orders, et cetera. From the start, they have been extremely responsive and willing to help; they give us the feeling that we can call them for anything no matter the issue. They have done above and beyond what we expected of a relocation firm, and generated a great level of comfort, such that they are the first point of reference that we think of if we need anything at all. They continue to do all of this without making us feel that we are asking for a lot, and they don't let any question go unanswered.

Moving from South Korea to the Netherlands is a pretty tough challenge. A different culture, weather conditions and the Dutch cuisine but most obviously for us is the language barrier. Not being able to communicate in the local language makes it's difficult to get things done. Luckily the University outsourced their relocation tasks. The P&D Care relocation services started our settling in process whilst we were still in South Korea. By mail we discussed multiple housing options and talked through a priority list with things to do on and after arrival in the Netherlands. This was actually the main reason that our transition went so smooth. P&D helpt us with all the standard needs like residence permits, driver’s license, contracts for the rent and internet. But they really went out of their way helping us in the first four weeks not yet having a car and the need to get around buying furniture for example. Their personal style is very pleasant and even after the contract period they still help us with advice

Before we moved to the Netherlands in the summer of 2013 we were invited for a 3 -day information trip together with my wife. A kind of last check before we definitely decided to relocate. I was able to meet my new colleagues and get a better picture of how life would be in Tilburg. My wife was pregnant at the time and P&D Care took her to meet the midwife, a look at the hospital and even getting acquainted with the nurses. Our first baby was of course our highest priority at the time and P&D Care very well knew how important it was to reassure us that we would feel comfortable having our first born here in Tilburg. The Settling in process starting on the day of arrival went like clockwork. On the first day I had a bank account, all the insurances we needed, utilities like gas, water, electric, phone and internet. Not being able to speak Dutch at that time I would never have managed all of this on my own. The great part of having P&D playing the role of personal assistant is that they have a solution and large network for every question or dilemma. They even assisted me in contacting a physiotherapist for my knee injury. Where in the world would I find the right physician on my own in a new town and one I could trust to have the best qualifications? Even now being here for over a year they still help us out. Helping my wife find a job and coming to our aid even while we were on vacation and a tremendous rainstorm had flooded our basement Settling in just can't get any better!

So surprised when I was awaited by Lenny from P&D Care at the airport on my day of arrival. My employer told me that someone would be there to pick me up but I didn’t know that P&D was hired to help me settle in because they never had had an Expat at their plant before. Lenny most humbly welcomed me and we sat down for a cup of coffee and she explained about the services they would be providing. Usually when I arrive in a new country, all alone with way too much luggage I get lost the moment I touch ground. Lenny took me to my new residence in Breda and on a tour of the town explaining points of interest and making sure I could find my way around. She had taken care of the housing, WiFi and even helping me fill the refrigerator with the basic needs for the first few days. The next morning she accompanied me to the city hall to help me take care of different documents I needed like a residence permit. A great relief because I don’t speak Dutch at all. Looking back I can really say that this was the happiest welcome I had ever encountered as an Expat. Settling in was really easy this way.

After being here on my own for a year and revisiting my homeland every three months I finally had my family come over a couple of months ago. Now we're complete again I feel very happy. Looking back at when I first arrived here I have to say that adapting to my new work environment wasn't such a challenge because my English is good enough to do the job. But settling in wouldn't have been possible for me if I didn't have the assistance of P&D Care. I would have been lost trying to do the most simplest things and even now they help me arranging daycare for our newly born and an international school for our eldest. Not having to worry about these things makes living and working in the Netherlands worth being here.

"P&D care really helped make my transition from the USA to the Netherlands smooth not only for myself, but for my family (the most important part!). It was nice to have someone always there when you needed them, from the big things like walking us through the whole immigration and registration process, to the small things like finding a music teacher for my kids and always being on hand to translate letters when we needed. P&D care quite simply made it much easier and less stressful on me as an ex-pat during the first few months so I could focus on the important things. I would highly recommend their professional, friendly, courteous service."
