Looking beyond the wishes on the
application form

For an international software company in South Holland, we had the pleasure of supporting a highly skilled migrant and his family in setting up their new life in the Netherlands.

Departure point

Rotterdam was initially designated as the preferred residential location. Nice and international! As we got to know the family better, it turned out that they would like to stay in the Netherlands for a long time. In addition, they indicated that they thought it was very important that their five-year-old son would learn Dutch.

Our approach

Due to the impressions during our acquaintance and inventory, we showed them, in addition to a number of apartments in Rotterdam, a family house in a smaller village near the city of Rotterdam. It was also almost next to a very suitable Dutch primary school and the house even had a garden. Moreover, rental charges were relatively low compared to the apartments in Rotterdam. In the end, the choice was made quickly!

Meanwhile our expat has been happily working for his new employer for a year now and the family lives in their house to their full satisfaction. Their son now speaks fluent Dutch!
